The mega Job Mela organised at BPR Function Hall in Kotthakota mandal of Wanaparthy district attracted hundreds of unemployed youth on Monday.
Wanaparthy: The mega Job Mela organised at BPR Function Hall in Kotthakota mandal of Wanaparthy district attracted hundreds of unemployed youth on Monday.
Out of 2,100 candidates who took part in the job mela, faced interviews for various posts in as many as 20 private companies and about 1,150 candidates were selected during the job mela.
Taking part as the chief guest for the Job Mela, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, advised youth that they should not waste time and asked them to grab whatever opportunity they get and urged them to get themselves employed be it in private or government sector to make a comfortable living.
Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said that students can achieve anything in their lives if they work towards their goals with dedication and commitment. "There is nothing impossible in life, what we need is commitment and dedication towards our targets. Particularly youth must utilise the opportunities provided by the government.
Be it private or government no matter, what we need is to get employed somewhere to earn a good living. During the past 5 years the state government had provided more than 25 thousand jobs in government sector. Earlier in IT sector there were 3.4 lakh jobs available in Hyderabad, however after formation of Telangana this has increased to over 6 lakhs. We have improved the supply of power for the industries and helped reopen as many as 10,000 industries which were on the verge of closure," said the Agriculture minister.
The Minister said that women should also utilise the opportunity and urged them to join in the jobs as there are host of vacancies for them in the government as well as private sectors.
The Minister added that earlier from Wanaparthy constituency as many 750 students were provided free constable coaching.
Ala Venkateshwar Reddy, MLA Devarkadra congratulated the job aspirants who bagged jobs during the job mela and wished them for their future careers. District Collector Swetha Mohanthi and other senior officials and local leaders took part in the programme and handed over appointment letters to as many as 11 candidates on the spot.
