KCR to visit martyred Colonel Santosh Babu family in Suryapet today
Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao will visit martyred Colonel Santosh Babu's family in Vidyanagar in Suryapet.
Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao will visit martyred Colonel Santosh Babu's family in Vidyanagar in Suryapet. The CM is said to be taking road route to Suryapet and will reach the Colonel's residence by 2 pm.
The Chief Minister will hand over a cheque for Rs 5 crore to martyred army official wife Santoshi as compensation from the state government. The CM may also handover the papers pertaining to the group one job to Santosh Babu's wife and a residential plot in Shaikpet as announced by him earlier. Rao will be accompanied by minister Jagadish Reddy and CS Somesh Kumar.
Earlier, the Congress leaders lashed out at the Chief Minister for not calling on the family. Congress leader Shabbir Ali also hit out at the CM for not attending the last rites of Colonel Santosh Babu. Ali said that the Chief Minister has shown disrespect to Colonel's family, martyrs and Indian Army.
It is known that Colonel Santosh Babu martyred in a clash with Chinese soldiers on June 15.
