Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader R Sridhar Reddy on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was unable to digest the rising popularity that BJP was receiving in the State and hence, was targeting the saffron party.

Addressing a press conference here, Sridhar Reddy alleged that the government was trying to loot the RTC assets by giving the excuse of strike. "It is the responsibility of the government to take care of the Corporation.

Since, the government failed in taking steps, the BJP had to enter and stand behind the workers. The Chief Minister is insecure with the support BJP is getting hence he is making allegations against the party," Sridhar Reddy said.

The BJP leader asked the Chief Minister what he would complain to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "The Chief Minister said workers are self-dismissed… will the Chief Minister complain that BJP leaders did not supporting them.

Will he complain that BJP consoled the families of the deceased RTC workers," questioned Sridhar Reddy.
