Khammam: Fed up with party leadership, Congress MLA from Bhadrachalam and DCC president Podem Veeraiah is contemplating to jump the ship and joining TRS soon.

According to sources, Podem Veeraiah has been upset with the party leadership for last some time and he is expressing his dissatisfaction with close followers. His close followers said though he had invitation from the pink party but did not turn up as he believed values but he is not happy with party leadership and support on some issues.

Despite the other four MLAs who were elected from Congress joined TRS, Podem Veeraiah continued in the party only. But recent issues forced him to join in ruling party said, his close followers.

According to information the MLA is feeling that party leadership did not respond immediately when cases registered against him during the distribution of essential commodities in Bhadrachalam town. His close follower said that the MLA felt that party did not react when cases filed against him as he is tribal MLA.

Since then, the MLA is away from the party activities and participating in official programmes only. For instance, he did not participate in former party president Rahul Gandhi's birthday celebrations though he is the party's district president.

Only two MLAs Podem Veeraiah and Mallu Battivikramarka have been continuing in congress party as out of out of 6 Congress party MLAs who elected out of 10 Assembly constituencies in both Khammam and Kothagudem four MLAs joined in ruling party earlier.

It is learnt some ruling and Left party leaders who are close to Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar are forcing the Podem Veeraiah to join the pink party. Another reason that he is planning to join as opposition party MLA is unable to do justice to people who cast their votes and unable to take up developmental activities due to lack of support from the government.
