Highest in the season, Khammam in Telangana recorded 45.2 degree Celsius followed by Bhadrachalam with 44.8 degrees, Ramagundam at 44.4 degrees and Nalgonda at 44 degrees on Sunday.

The temperature in Khammam rose to 5.9 degrees than the normal in the city, said the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The heatwave will be continued till Tuesday in parts of Telangana such as Adilabad, Kumram-Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagitial, Mancherial, Rajanna-Sircilla, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Jayashankar-Bupalpally, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Janagaon, Yadadri-Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Rural, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Suryapet and Nalgonda districts.

Mancherial district also witnessed 44.8 degrees on Sunday forcing people to stay indoors due to the hot weather conditions.
