The Telangana police have booked a criminal case against a top rank police officer and his son for hiding the foreign visit information and violating quarantine rule imposed by the government.

On receiving the information, the Kothagudem police registered a case against DSP SM Ali and his son S Arbaz who recently returned from London and tested Covid-19 positive.

According to the sources, after returning from London, Arbaz was seen moving freely and also attended a wedding by violating the rules issued by the government that the people with foreign travel history must quarantine for 14 days.

The father-son duo tested Covid-19 positive and booked under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for disobedience of public servant's orders. Now, along with DSP's wife, a few police personals who were on duty are also placed in quarantine.
