Hyderabad: A new laser technology equipment for removal of kidney stones inaugurated at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Panjagutta on Thursday.
NIMS Director Prof Manohar, Urology HoD Dr Ramireddy, Urology Prof Dr Rahul Devraj and other doctors were present on the occasion.
Dr Ramireddy stated that holmium laser was considered as the latest and sophisticated technology for the removal of kidney stones.
He said this technology is far ahead of the present technology (PCNL surgery) and it is very useful in kidney failure and for single kidney patients.
