Hyderabad: The Congress party has condemned the attack on Forest Range Officer and alleged that the law and order in the state has deteriorated.

It has called upon the protagonists of democracy to denounce the violence. In a statement here on Sunday, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said the MLA Koneru Konppa's brother Koneru Krishna Rao had brutally attacked a woman Forest Range Officer.

He said the TRS leader had attacked a government officer. It was heinous that brother of a MLA and vice-president of the Zilla Parishad was involved in such an attack.

He said that nepotism, anarchy and lawlessness had been dominating the TRS rule.

He demanded that strict action against the brother of the MLA be taken. Addressing the media, MLC T Jeevan Reddy condemned the attack on the Forest Range Officer.

He said that there was a conspiracy behind the attack. While the government said that saplings should be planted in the forest lands, the TRS leaders were attacking the officials who had been supervising it.

He said that the Centre has given rights to the tribals on the lands of the forest in 2008. However, now they were being evicted from there lands, he said.
