Lightning strike damages building in Hyderabad

A lightning strike damaged a building here at Chaderghat of Old Malakpet on Tuesday evening. The incident happened while it was raining in the area.

The lightning struck a building in the area resulting in the roof collapse. The residents inside the house ran out of their house with fear. However, no casualties have been reported.

Heavy rains have been battering the city for the last two days leaving the city roads inundated. Traffic in the areas like Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills and Habsiguda interrupted due to the rainwater being flooded on roads.

In a similar case, three youth were killed due to the lightning strike on Tuesday at Khammam.
