Party district president N Srinivas claims that 3.5 acres worth 10 crore is illegally transferred to private persons

Karimnagar: Lok Satta Udyama Samstha district president Naredla Srinivas alleged that about three acres of Reserve Forest Land near Kondagattu temple hills has been illegally transferred in favour of private individuals.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Srinivas said that 3.5 acres (16,940 square yards) of Reserve Forest Land in survey number – 370 and 371 in Nachupally (V) Jagtial district, has been transferred in the name of private individuals in LRUP (Land Records Updation Programme), which was held one year ago.

The said land is on the main road near JNTU bus stop on Nachupally to Karimnagar - Jagtial highway. The present market value of this land is around Rs 10 crores.

Stating that the 'new owners' applied 'no objection certificate' (NOC) with a view to convert the land into plots and to sell it off, the Lok Satta leader questioned how government land could be transferred to individuals? He demanded the TRS government to order an enquiry into the illegal land grabbing and punish the officials responsible for this and cancel all the rights.

Lok Satta leaders Gorityala Manohar, Prakash Holla, R Chandra Prabhakar, KS Narayana, Gangadhar, Nagamohan, Kondalrao, Mujafar and others were present along with Srinivas.
