A young couple committed suicide after their parents rejected their marriage proposal here at Koilkonda mandal of Mahbubnagar district.
Though the incident took place three months ago, it came to light on Sunday when a shepherd saw two bodies hanging from a tree near Rampur village.
Golla Ravi (20) and Golla Radhika (21) had fallen in love while they were pursuing a degree in a private college in Mahbubnagar. Ravi's parents got to know about his affair and warned him to stay away from the girl.
Unable to bear the separation, Ravi and Radhika came out of their homes on March 23. Their decomposed bodies were found hanging from a tree by a shepherd.
The police brought the bodies down and launched an investigation.
