Burglars in Mahabubnagar made away with 200 tolas of gold ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh from a house in Boinpalle of Midjil mandal on Friday night.
Burglars in Mahabubnagar made away with 200 tolas of gold ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh from a house in Boinpalle of Midjil mandal on Friday night. The police said that the burglars sneaked into house while everyone was asleep.
The incident came to light on Saturday morning when the family members noticed the mess in the house and found the gold was missing. The gold was put in the house in the view of the house owner Indra Reddy's daughter wedding. It is learned that the gold was kept at Indra Reddy's brother's house due to the repair works being carried out at the former's residence.
The wedding was scheduled on December 23 and the gold was brought from the bank lockers earlier this week.
The family alerted the police about the burglary who rushed to the place along with the CLUES team and inspected the house. The police registered a case and launched an investigation. CCTV footage at the nearby areas are being verified to nab the burglars.
