Maharashtra Governor urges students to opt for vocational courses in Karimnagar
Stating that vocational courses have a bright future, Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao advised the students to opt for these courses.
Karimnagar: Stating that vocational courses have a bright future, Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao advised the students to opt for these courses. He attended as a chief guest at the Skill Development programme organised on Monday for the youth by Tata Community Initiatives Trust in association with Jeeyar Education Trust, Prathima Foundation and Tata Sweep & My Home organisations in Akkannapet village of Ibrahimpatnam mandal in Jagtial district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that the Central government is determined and striving hard to give training in skill development to about 1.4 million students in four years. India will be recognised as one of the countries with maximum number of employed youth by 2020. In countries like Israel and Germany, there are maximum number of employees but many of them are aged and are about to retire within three to four years.
The youth, who opt vocational education, will have plenty of employment opportunities and especially those, who choose Publishing and Electronic sectors will get maximum salaries like that of software employees, he advised.
Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao appreciated Tata and Prathima Foundation for coming forward to organise such training programmes to the unemployed youth.
Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind, Jagtial Zilla Parishad Chairperson Dasa Vasantha, Metpalli MLA Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar, Joint Collector B Rajesham and sub-collector Gautham Potru were present along with others.
