Mahbubnagar: Nutreco, a Dutch-based global company has launched its state-of-the-art animal nutrition division, called Trouw Nutrition, at Special Economic Zone in Jadcherla on Monday.

Netherlands Ambassador to India Marten Van De Berg inaugurated the unit through virtual mode on the occasion. With this facility Nutreco coming into functioning, it is expected to serve the poultry and various other animal farming communities with its high-quality animal nutrition feed in Telangana.

According to Dr Saurab Shekhar, General Manager Nutreco South Asia, Trouw Nutrition is one of its kind new production facilities and has high end technology designed to deliver superior quality premix for customers in South Asia. At present, the company is having an annual production capacity of 20,000 metric tones and it is one of the largest premix production facilities of Asia. "Initially we are planning to cater the local markets in Telangana and India.

However, we are also planning to go for export to other countries in the coming days. This facility is dedicated to production of vitamins, mineral premixes, and mineral blends and feed safety solutions for all species. Its unique 45-meter-high tower at the new premises facilitates vertical flow from raw materials to finished product stage, encompassing the complete production cycle," informed Saurab.

The new animal feed production company is in about four acres and Rs 98 crore was invested to set up this facility at Jadcherla SEZ. The facility is set to primarily cater to India first and later to the global markets such as Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka in the coming days, observed the company authorities, during the launch.
