Mahbubnagar: Marriage party meets with an accident, 8 people injured

Mahbubnagar: As many as 8 people received grievous injuries when the auto rickshaw they were travelling in met with an accident in Timmajipet mandal of Nagarkurnool district on Monday.

According to sources, about 13 people from Bajapur thanda in Timmajipet mandal were travelling in an auto rickshaw while returning to Hyderabad after attending a marriage. However, the auto rammed into a lorry from behind while overtaking it on the Wanaprthy-Jadcehrla highway at Timmajipet mandal. In the accident, 8 people, mostly children, were severely injured. The police reached the spot and shifted the injured children to the Mahbubnagar hospital.

A case was registered and investigation is going on, informed the Timmajipet police.
