Hyderabad: The police on Thursday nabbed one person on charges of allegedly killing his childhood friend on August 28. The accused was arrested at Lingampally on Thursday while he was roaming on the deceased's bike.

The deceased identified as Satish Babu was a software employee.

According to DCP, Madhapur, accused M Hemanth (35) was arrested for brutally killing a person identified as Satish Babu on August 28.

Satish's wife Prasanthi lodged a missing complaint at KPHB police station on August 29 and raised suspicion over Hemanth, who is Satish's business partner. Police found the dead body of Satish at Hemanth's house and intensified their searches.

Accused voluntarily confessed that he committed the murder due to disputes over loss in business, reduction of his salary and bore grudge for being warned to stay away from one Priyanka.

DCP said Satish in the year 2016 started a training institute and provided the accused a job as administrator. In 2017, Priyanka joined the institute as trainer.

Subsequently, Satish established an IT company at 7th phase in KPHB in December 2017, in which he made the accused a partner. Meanwhile, accused developed intimacy with Priyanka, for which Satish warned him.

In this regard, accused bore grudge on Satish and hatched a plan to eliminate him. According to his plan, accused called Satish on the context of settling issues.

Satish went to the accused's house, where both consumed liquor and later got into a heated argument. An aggravated Hemanth attacked Satish with a hammer and smothered him with a cloth, due to which Satish died on spot.
