A 23-year-old youngster killed his mother at Balkampet under SR Nagar police station limits on Saturday afternoon. The police said that the accused had also involved in various property offences.
According to the police, B Santosh (23) was staying with his mother Sangeeta (50) at Balkampet under the SR Nagar police station limits. He was caught by the police on several instances for his involvement in property offences. The man who is reported to be a ganja addict was recently released from prison.
On Saturday, he picked up an argument with his mother, during which he stabbed her to death in a fit of rage and later fled the spot. The SR Nagar police have reached the spot and took up an investigation. Efforts are underway to nab Santosh.
Charred remains of woman found in Shamshabad
Charred remains of a woman near RGI airport in Shamshabad on Friday sending shock waves among the locals.
The incident came to light on Friday morning when local people then informed the police. DCP Prakash Reddy said the body of an unidentified woman was found at Rotary 2 at the airport. The police visited the scene and suspected that the woman was sexually assaulted by unknown individuals and was later murdered.
