On Wednesday, along with District Collector Amoy Kumar, the Minister handed over the enhanced Aasara pensions to beneficiaries at a programme held at Kandagatla village of Atmakur (S) mandal of Suryapet constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister asked people to not to spoil the environment in the name of presenting bouquets to VIPs. Stating that plants play a key role in ecological balance, he called upon all sections of the society to take active part in Haritha Haram to improve the forest cover in the State.
In this programme, Zilla Parishad chairman Gujja Deepika, local public representatives, TRS party local leaders, beneficiaries and villagers took part.
