Missing case turns into double murder for gain
The investigation by Humnabad crime team into a missing case has led to unearthing of a double murder of a Hyderabad-based couple Navaratan Reddy (76), Snelatha (72) for gain.
Vikarabad: The investigation by Humnabad crime team into a missing case has led to unearthing of a double murder of a Hyderabad-based couple Navaratan Reddy (76), Snelatha (72) for gain.
The couple had recently shifted to a rented house at Humnabad before they went missing on June 12. They had gone to Hyderabad for shopping in their car along with driver Satish of Dumansur. A missing case was registered in Humnabad police station.
When Satish was called to the police station for questioning, he lied about his whereabouts. The police grew suspicious and made him disclose the truth after a sustained interrogation. The driver confessed that with the help of his accomplice, one Rahul of Dumansur, they had killed the couple for gold and sash and dumped the bodies at Ananthagiri hills in Vikarabad district.
The police recovered the decomposed bodies from Ananthagiri Hills. They also recovered 280 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 5 lakh in cash. The accused were sent to judicial custody.
