The outgoing water was blocked at Shilpa Brindavanam of Allwyn Colony division due to piling up of waste and garbage in the nalas.
Serilinampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi and the local corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud personally monitored the works on Wednesday to clear the blocked drains to facilitate free flow of water through the nalas.
A JCB was engaged to clear the garbage which was choking the flow of water at Shilpa Brindavanam.
Both the MLA and the corporator stood for three hours at the site and monitored the works.
The GHMC staff ensured that nalas were cleared to facilitate smooth flow of the water.
