Nalgonda/Yadagirigutta: In Nalgonda bus stand, passengers suffered a lot for over three hours on Tuesday morning when the agitating RTC workers, as part of their protest, obstructed the temporary drivers and conductors from carrying out their duties by stopping the buses and appealing them to not to deprive them of their bread and bread butter by continuing in the duties.

The agitating workers expressing their concern gave flowers to the passengers and urged them to extend their support to the strike. At about 9.30 am with the support of police, the services restored on all routes from Nalgonda depot.

On Yadagirigutta bus stand premises, the police arrested the RTC workers and shifted them to various police stations when they tried to obstruct the temporary drivers and conductors while discharging their duties.

Meanwhile, an inexperienced temporary driver hit the car Nalgonda Divisional Manager Shyamala which was parked in depot garage while taking a trial drive on the premises. It learnt that the DVM expressed her angst over persons who recommended the temporary driver.

Speaking to the media, RTC JAC leader Narender expressed her concern over the incident and said government was playing with the lives of people by engaging inexperienced drivers who drives auto-rickshaws, tractors and lorries as temporary drivers of RTC buses.
