Nalgonda/Suryapet/Bhongir: As part of the call given by the RTC JAC leaders, the agitating RTC workers on the 38th day of their strike staged protests before the residences of TRS representatives in erstwhile Nalgonda district.

Leaders of all opposition parties, district leaders and workers staged a protest in front of the residence of MLC Krishna Reddy in Bhongir town on Monday and demanded the government to address the demands of RTC workers.

Leaders of Congress, CPM, Telangana Jana Samithi, New Democracy and others raised slogans against the State government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his adamant attitude towards the agitating employees.

The government should respond positively with regard to RTC workers strike in the interest of four crore people of the State, the opposition leaders demanded. "The day of KCR getting down from CM's chair is not far away," they said.

Meanwhile, the police obstructed the protestors when they tried to barge into MLC's house and a scuffle took place between the police and the protestors. The protestors withdrew their dharna after local police held discussion with the agitating leaders.

Similarly, the RTC workers along with leaders of opposition parties staged a protest in front of the residences of Aler MLA Gongidi Sunitha in Yadagirigutta and MLA Bollam Mallaiah Yadav in Kodad town. Police stopped the RTC workers on the way.

The RTC workers declared that they would continue the agitation till their demands were met. Later, they submitted memorandum to Mallaiah Yadav's personal assistant as the MLA was not available at his residence.

Meanwhile, local police arrested RTC workers and the supporting leaders when they tried to lay siege to the residences of Minister Jagadish Reddy and MLA Bhaskar Rao in Suryapet and Miryalaguda towns respectively.
