Alleging harassment from her old friend by name Maniratnam she wrote a suicide letter to his father stating that she was going to Tankbund to commit suicide and went missing from her hostel in Himayathnagar on November 27.

According to police, during the investigation after observing CCTV footage and her mobile call data they found that after reaching to Tankbund she spoke to her friend by name Naresh on WhatsApp call and later switched off it. Later she went towards Secunderabad by walking. Police enquired him and they analyzed the call data of Maniratnam.

With the suspicion that she met Maniratnam at his room in Begumpet and both went to Guntur, a team sent there to trace them.
