Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan has exuded confidence that the Centre’s decision to give a relief to the tune of Rs 1.45 lakh crore to the corporate sector in the country will give the much-needed spin to the Indian economy.

Addressing media here on Saturday, he said a slew of initiatives announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not only help in creating new job opportunities and the streamlining the General Service Tax (GST) come as a relief to the consumers.
On the top of it, the announcement of relief to the corporate sector would throw red carpet to the new investors and act as a "big step for the Make in India objective," he added.
The Oil Minister said that the tariff wars between Russian-USA and China and the USA casting a shadow on the global economy.
It was against this backdrop that the decisions taken by the PM Modi's government will provide the much-needed boost to the Indian economy to face the challenges ahead, he stated.
