Nizamabad Rural tahsildhar commits suicide
Nizamabad Rural mandal tahasildar Jwala Giridhar Rao committed suicide on Thursday morning.
Nizamabad: Nizamabad Rural mandal tahasildar Jwala Giridhar Rao committed suicide on Thursday morning. He was found hanging to a ceiling fan in his rented house at Aryanagar in Nizamabad.
Giridhar Rao was transferred from Hyderabad to Nizamabad during the elections last year. He was not sent back home after the elections were over. The family members said he took the extreme step as he was feeling homesick because of being away from his family.
He was also under pressure due work load. Family members said he was sad that he was not able to spend time with his family. The deceased tahasildar was survived by his wife and two children.
Giridhar Rao hails from the Ramgiri mandal of Nalgonda district. Collector M Ram Mohan Rao, District Revenue Officer Ramesh Rathod, Revenue Division Gopi Ram, Srinivas and District Officers Govind, Jayasudha, Krishnamurthy and Baburavu saw his body.
ACP Srinivas Rao and other police officers sent the deceased' body to a government hospital for the legal formalities.
