Later, the District Collector inspected the saplings planted on the either side of the road connecting Ghanapur to Wanaparthy. The Collector expressed her displeasure that instead of planting 1,400 plants on the highway, only 500 plants survived.

"We have directed the concerned department to take up Haritha Haram programme seriously and we will be monitoring the programme strictly. In the last 10 days, the district is receiving good rains and in view of this, we have directed the officials to take up the plantation programme in a big way," informed the Collector.

The Collector while addressing the Panchayat Secretaries and the village Sarpanches, she questioned them that why they have not completed the highway plantation programme. She directed them by next one week the highway plantation programme must be completed.

Earlier, the Collector inspected the PHC of Ghanapur and checked the patient records, and inspected the inpatient and outpatient wards in the district. The Collector took serious note of the hospital staff not coming on time and also directed the Panchayat Secretaries to get on duties right at 7 in the morning.

Zilla Parishad Chairman Loknath Reddy, Ghanapur Sarpanch Venkat Ramana, MPP Krishna and others took part in the programme.
