Pavithrotsavams, Ramakoti books immersion held in Bhadradri

Bhadrachalam: The Pavithrotsavams ritual was conducted by the Lord Rama temple board on a grand note here on Monday. As part of the ritual, a special Abhishekam was conducted by the priests amid chanting of Vedic hymns.
Meanwhile, the temple officials have cancelled the celestial wedding from August 10 to 15. On the other hand, Ramakoti books, written by the devotees, were immersed in River Godavari amid chanting of Vedic hymns on the day.
Before the immersion, a separate vehicle, decorated, was arranged by the temple officials that carried books to the immersion site and a procession was taken out. After that the immersion on Godavari river bridge, a special puja was conducted.
Addressing the gathering, priests informed that they organise the immersion programme every year in the month of Sravanam.
