Prabhakar files nomination for Medak LS constituency

Sanga Reddy: The TRS party MP candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy filed his nomination papers for Medak constituency at Medak on Friday. He presented his nomination papers to the Returning Officer in Medak Collectorate. The event included former minister, Siddipet MLA Harish Rao, Medak MLA Padma Devendar Reddy and other leaders.

After clearing all speculations, the ruling TRS party has once again announced sitting MPs as candidates for Parliament election. Prabhakar Reddy and BB Patil, the present MPs, have been finalised by the party's leadership as contestants for Medak and Zaheerabad respectively.

Both the candidates have effectively held their responsibilities for the last five years and are well-known to party MLAs, leaders and activists. Medak MP Prabhakar Reddy is a close associate of KCR. He is also in-charge of Gajwel Assembly constituency, which is represented by none other than KCR. Monitoring of the development work in the constituency and the responsibilities of coordinating the party lines were handed over to Prabhakar Reddy by KCR.

Zaheerabad MP BB Patil has been interacting with public by setting up free medical camps and study centers in his parliamentary constituency. He is also vice president of Telangana Cricket Association, chairman of Patil Veerashaiva Lingayat Foundation. Patil has won with a huge margin in 2014 elections. Both MPs Prabhakar Reddy and BB Patil, are soft spoken and also known for their habit of handling things smoothly. They are always away from controversies.

Both of them worked in tandem with the MLAs of their respective Parliamentary constituencies. Both of them have worked hard to get funds from different departments from the center. The national highways and railway lines have been completed and the central schools and passport centers have been brought. Being closer to everyone, the party working president KTR and ex-minister Harish Rao praised them openly on several occasions.
