Render valuable services to society, Minister tells medicos in Suryapet

Suryapet: Minister for Education G Jagadish Reddy stated that people of the district would be indebted to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for sanctioning a government medical college to Suryapet. On Friday, he inaugurated the Government Medical College in Suryapet.

Addressing the students and parents during the orientation programme held at college meeting hall, the Minister said that decades-old demand of a medical college in Suryapet has been realised with the intervention of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

He slammed the opposition parties which tried to obstruct the establishment of medical college and added that if permissions did not come in time due to opposition parties irresponsible moves and complaints, the setting up of college could have been delayed by another two years.

"Establishment of medical college at Suryapet reflects the commitment of the State government towards key sectors of the society, i.e., education and health," he underlined

He advised the medicos to study well and become good doctors and render valuable services to the society.

Besides government help, he assured of extending support and cooperation for the development of medical college.

On the occasion, the Minister appreciated and felicitated District Collector Amoy Kumar, SP R Venkateshwarlu, Medical College Principal Sharadha, Superintendent Muralidar Reddy, Contractor Venkat Reddy for their role in college construction and timely correspondence with higher authorities for getting necessary permissions to the college.
