Nagarkurnool-Gadwal: Even though they did not get judgment in favour from the High Court and the government also did not concede their demands, RTC continued their protest on the 50th day of their strike.

The agitating RTC workers expressed their anger at the State government and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his adamant attitude for not considering the demands of the RTC workers and pushing the corporation towards making into a private organisation and ruing the lives of more than 48,000 RTC employees.

The RTC workers staged a protest in front of the Gadwal Bus Depot and sat at the gates obstructing the movement of the buses. However, the police intervened and allowed the buses to come out of the depot. The RTC workers raised slogans against the government and the police and continued their protest.

Similar protests were also reported in Kalwakurthy mandal where more than 100 RTC workers came on to the roads and took part in a rally from bus stand to Ambedkar Chowk and later formed a human chain and chanted slogans.

The RTC employees in Achampet mandal also took out huge rally from Ambedkar cross road to RTC bus depot and staged a protest in front of the gates and tried to lock the gates and not allowed the buses to come out.

The police stopped the RTC workers causing altercations between the RTC employees and the Police. "The RTC employees have been on strike for more than 50 days, but not a single TRS party leader raised a voice in our favour about our plight.

This shows that the KCR government and TRS party do not care for the public and their issues. This kind of undemocratic rule will not last long. The people will definitely teach them a lesson and the TRS party will have to face the consequences in the coming elections," said the RTC JAC leaders in Achampet.
