Nagarjunasagar: The Nagarjunasagar reservoir is getting huge flows from upperstream and in view of this, the officials of project released water downstream by lifting 10 crest gates of the dam on Thursday.

As per the official information, the project is receiving 1.90 lakh cusecs of water from upperstream, including the rain waters from catchment area of the project, while the outflows from the project are 1.98 lakh cusecs.

The water level in Sagar reservoir is 311.74 tmcft at 589.90 feet against the Full Tank Level of 312 tmcft at 590 feet.
