Sanitation works taken up in Kamepally villages

Khammam: As part of implementation of 30-day action plan, District Collector RV Karnan visited Jaganadhapuram, Repallevada and Kotapadu villages in Kamapally mandal on Monday and inspected the sanitation and electricity works.

The Collector examined the electric poles and wires, and directed the officials concerned to carry out repairs wherever needed. Urging the villagers to arrange earth wires to their residences for safety, the Collector informed that concerned department officials would conduct weekly programmes to solve the electricity and other related issues. He asked the people to maintain the premises clean to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases.

Northern Power Distribution Company Limited Superintending Engineer K Ramesh, Divisional Engineer L Ramulu, Assistant Engineer V Narayana, Sarpanch Souri and other officers accompanied the Collector.

Officials told to speed up JSA works Meanwhile, the Collector ordered the officials concerned to complete the Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA) works within the stipulated time. On Monday, he inspected the construction works of farm ponds and soak pits taken up under the scheme at Raghunadhapalem village. He directed the officials concerned to create awareness about the importance of construction of soak pits and planting saplings to villages.

District Rural Development Project Director B Indumathi, Assistant Project Director Ashok and others accompanied the Collector.
