Kazipet: Senior citizens have legal protection
The Warangal District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Secretary, J Vikram, on Tuesday assured the senior citizens of extending all possible help to them.
Kazipet: The Warangal District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Secretary, J Vikram, on Tuesday assured the senior citizens of extending all possible help to them. Speaking at the Legal Literacy Camp here on the eve of 'World Senior Citizens Day' here, he said that there was no need for senior citizens to feel insecure as the legal services are ready to assist them.
Explaining the legal rights the senior citizens are entitled, Vikram told them to take care of their health instead of worrying about other issues. He said that it is the duty of everybody to treat the senior citizens with high respect. Vikram emphasised the need for conducting regular medical check-ups on them.
He visited St Ann's Old Age Home in Kazipet and Sahrudaya Old Age Home in Waddepally and interacted with the senior citizens. Organisers of both the old age homes - Sister Japamala and Yakoobee, advocate R Suresh were among others present.
