Siddipet: 'Spread awareness on Coronavirus'

Siddipet: An awareness programme for officials on coronavirus officers was held through video conference at the collectorate here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Venkatrami Reddy and Police Commissioner Joel Davis said the coronavirus was being spread through contact by touching or shaking hands.

Officials were advised to immediately identify people who arrived from overseas and send them to the isolation centers, if they exhibited any symptoms. Their families must be counselled properly before sending them to the isolation centres. Officials of departments were asked to work in total coordination and take complete responsibility for ensuring disease prevention, they said. The Collector and the Commissioner made several suggestions to prevent the spread of virus. They warned medical shops of action if sanitisers and masks were sold above MRP.

Additional Collectors Padmakar, Muzammil, Medical Officers, Siddipet DMHO, ACP Rameshwar, CIs Parashuram Goud and Saidulu and various department officials participated in the event.
