Solve pension issues immediately in Nizamabad
Nizamabad: District Collector MRM Rao has directed the officials concerned to take steps to solve employees' pensions issues immediately without keeping them pending. He addressed a meeting held on employees' pension cases with DDOs and pensioners, organised by accountant general officials at Pragathi Bhawan in Nizamabad on Wednesday.
He directed the officials to gather employees' retirement details one year before and district officials and soon-to-be retired employees should send their pension applications to the accountant general at least six months in advance. This will help the pensioners to get retirement benefits at the time of retirement, he stated.
The Collector told the officials to recover pending outstanding dues from any employee either from the pension or from the office. This will help to sanction pension on time.
Both district officials and pensioners should take the responsibility in solving all the pension related pending cases except court cases. Employee and the pension officer should register all the details and confirm them before sending the report to accountant general. Especially, details of the employee's spouse and family members should be registered correctly.
The Collector directed the officials to take initiation to solve registration cases in district revenue and education departments and pending cases in police, excise and panchayat raj departments.
Deputy Accountant General Sunita Gunasekhar suggested to fill the correct details of the employee in part-1 in the application form and has to enter guardian name in case the nominee is a minor. She further said to submit the photos of both husband and wife before submitting pension forms.
Joint Collector Venkateshwarlu, district revenue officer Anjaiah, AG office senior accountant Vijaya, district treasury officer Rammohan Naiud, DDOs of various departments, district pensioners association president, members and others participated in the meeting.
