Stop illegal sand mining: Collector Jha

Asifabad: District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha instructed the officials concerned to stop illegal sand mining in the district while addressing a review meeting at the Collector's conference hall in Asifabad on Thursday.

He directed the officials of irrigation and underground water departments to take serious action on tractor owners, who use their tractors for illegal sand mining. They were also told to identify locations where sand is available within 10 days and submit a detailed report.

Additional Collector P Rambabu, Assistant Collector Hemanth, underground mining department AD Nagaraju and others were present.
