Students excel in SWEROS State Olympic Games
In the ongoing SWEROS State Olympic Games in Chitkul Gurukul Girls School, students belonging to several zones excelled on Friday. In the three km walk, Menaka of Thoguta School bagged the first prize, followed by Manasa of Tekulapalli, who stood second and Kirthana of Nirmal bagged the third prize.

In long jump, Puja of Bellampalli, Sirisha of Rayparthi and Ashwini of Luxettipet won the first three prizes. In high jump, Nikitha of Kadem, Asmita of Nirmal and Ranjita of Kanjera won the first three prizes. In running, Sandhya of Tekulapalli finished first. In shot-put Nikhita of Kadem, Uma of Kanjera and Swapna of Gopaltek bagged the first, second and third prizes respectively
In 800 m run, Nikita of Kadem was the winner and in 1,500 m Menaka finished on top. In kho-kho, volleyball and basketball students of various zones shined with their performance. On Thursday secretary of Gurukul Tribal Welfare institutions Dr Praveen Kumar inspected the games. The Gurukul girls school authorities felicitated him.
