Hanamkonda: In a novel protest to highlight what they call the lackadaisical approach of the State government in regard with the bungling of Intermediate results, the All India Youth Federation (AIYF) submitted a memorandum to a buffalo near Kakatiya University (KU) here on Friday.

AIYF State president Syed Vali Ullah Khadri criticised the State government for not taking action against the officials and Minister for Education G Jagadish Reddy.

"Even though the goof up led to the death of 18 students, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao appears to have blithe concern towards the issue. The CM neither announced ex-gratia nor did he try to console the bereaved families," Khadri said.

Seeking an inquiry into the entire episode by a sitting judge, he demanded the government to release Rs 30 lakh ex-gratia to the families of those Intermediate students, who committed suicide.

He condemned the arrest of AIYF and AISF activists, who staged a peaceful protest. Student leaders K Chiranjeevi, M Kiran, G Suman, M Ramesh, G Sampath, P Sathish, T Ramesh and Mallesham were among others present.
