Students taken ill after consuming kheer

Bhadrachalam (Kothagudem): As many as 16 students have taken ill after consuming kheer at BC Boys Gurukul here on Thursday.
According to the sources, the students were given kheer on Wednesday evening as per the menu. The milk used to prepare kheer was said to have been spoiled.
As a result two students shown symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea and they were admitted to Bhadrachalam Area Hospital for treatment.
By Thursday evening fourteen more students suffered from similar symptoms. The nurse at the Gurukul shifted them to the hospital and their condition was improving, said the doctors.
The District BC Welfare Officer Surendra Mohan and Regional Coordinator Brahmachary visited the hospital and took stock of the situation.
