Suicide sparks protests
Tension prevailed across the district on Monday after woman conductor identified as B Neeraja (31) allegedly committed suicide.
Khammam: Tension prevailed across the district on Monday after woman conductor identified as B Neeraja (31) allegedly committed suicide. The RTC JAC leaders and workers expressed rage against the government and called for laying siege to bus depots across the district.
The RTC JAC workers laid siege to depots and blocked the buses from leaving and entering the depot. They raised slogans against the government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The police took into custody many protesting workers.
The deceased woman conductor belonged to Sathupalli depot. The RTC JAC workers staged protests at Sathupalli depot.
The protesting employees said the government is responsible for the death of woman conductor. They demanded that the government ensure justice to her family.
