Coronavirus in Mancherial: Mancherial district in Telangana has been witnessing a tremendous rise in coronavirus cases for the last 20 days. Around six migrants have been tested positive for coronavirus in Mancherial on Friday night. They were shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday morning. So far, the district reported 28 coronavirus positive cases and 27 among them were migrants.

Mancherial district nodal officer said that of the six migrants, three of them belong to Kishtapur village in Jannaram mandal and the other three from Rotiguda village of the same mandal. All the six who were in the isolation ward at Bellampalli were shifted to Hyderabad for treatment.

On May 21, four migrants workers, who returned to Mancherial from Mumbai tested positive for coronavirus. Even on May 18, two migrants who returned to Chandrampet of Sircilla Urban and Nagampalli of Vemulawada have been tested positive for the deadly virus. Around 2,000 migrants of Jannaram, Hajipur, Luxettipet and Dandepalli mandals are being infected with coronavirus following relaxation of norms under the second phase of lockdown.

Recently, the district police along with the medical and health officials launched a survey for identifying the migrants in these mandals in the view of the rising cases.
