Meanwhile, two greyhounds constables also suffered injuries during the exchange of fire. It is learned thay the police are conducting combing operation in the Karregutta forest area.
The exchange of fire took place around 6.30 am between Eturunagaram-Mahadevpur area committee members and greyhounds in the forest area near Bijapur. Of the two dead Maoists, one of them was recognised as Mahadevpur area committee secretary Sudhakar. Another person is yet to be identified.
