A woman along with her 13-year-old daughter committed suicide over a family dispute in Wanaparthy on Sunday night. The incident came to light on Monday after the villagers noticed smoke coming out of their house.
Manjula (29) set herself and daughter Swathi (13) on fire after a quarrel with her husband Govind. The couple is learned to have been fighting with each other for some time over family disputes. Depressed over it, Manjula doused herself with kerosene and also poured it on her daughter to set on fire.
SI Lakshman inspected the spot and registered a case. The bodies were sent to the morgue for an autopsy.
