Telangana: ZPTC, MPTC elections may be held from April 22

The state is likely to go for ZPTC and MPTC elections from April 22 to May 14. The results will be declared after May 23, i.e, after the announcement of LS results.
It is learned that the State Election Commission (SEC) sent its proposals to the State government expressing its preparedness for conducting Mandal Parishad and Zilla Parishad elections. While the government also gave its consent to conduct the elections. The chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao discussed it with the officials at Pragati Bhavan on Friday.
As the term of the Zilla and Mandal Parishad's is coming to an end, the government has proposed to the election commission to hold the elections from April 22 to May 14.
