Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at a private hospital in Panjagutta after parents of seven-year-old boy, who died while undergoing treatment, staged a protest at the hospital premises in Dwarakapuri colony on Friday. The parents of the deceased alleged doctor's negligence in treatment.

According to police, on Thursday a complaint has been lodged by one M Radha (21), in which she stated that her son M Vignesh (7), was suffering with fever and admitted to a private hospital in Dwarakapuri colony, Panjagutta on September 7 for treatment.

After examinations the doctors advised her to admit her son as he was found to be positive for Dengue. But on Monday the boy was shifted to ICU, and on next day he was put on ventilator. Later, on Wednesday, the doctors on night duty declared him dead.

Deceased boy's mother alleged doctor's negligence and lodged a complaint. On receipt of complaint police registered a case under section 304(A) IPC and took up investigation.
