Traffic advisory issues by Hyderabad Traffic Police

In view of heavy traffic snarls being seen in Madhapur and hitech city areas during rains, this traffic advisory is being issued for public benefit.

Major water logging locations :

1. Near Nectar Gardens on the road connecting Madhapur to Road No 45.

2. Near City wines, Ayyappa society, Madhapur. The road connecting cyber towers junction to Neeru's/kavuri hills junction and vice versa.

3. Near Shilparamam on the road between Hitex/Metal Charminar and Cyber towers junction.

4. Near Raheja Mindspace campus entrance at Underpass on the road between cyber gateway and Mindspace.

Reasons for traffic snarls :

As the recession of storm water at the above places is taking its time, the traffic gets piled up on the roads. Approximately, half an hour of water logging at Shilparamam would lead to congestion at Kothaguda, Botanical gardens, Gachibowli for almost 2-3 hours. It would take 2-3 hours of hard work by traffic police in regulating and normalising the traffic.

However, considering the critical nature of these areas (connectivity to airport, ORR, Hospitals etc), it is felt that suggestion of alternative routes which are comparatively less affected by water logging to the general public would help them in planning their travels conveniently.

Hence, during rainy season,it is better to avoid the following routes:

A. Durgam cheruvu - Road no 45 route from hitech city.

Alternative routes :

1. Hitech city - cyber towers - 100 ft road - kavuri hills junction/neerus- road no 36.

2. Hitech city - bio diversity - khajaguda - Dargah - Film Nagar - Banjara Hills

B. Gachibowli / financial district- Kothaguda - Hitex - Cyber towers- Kavuri hills/Neerus - Jubilee Hills

Alternative routes:

Gachibowli- Bio diversity- khajaguda- Dargah - Film Nagar - Banjara Hills

C. Gachibowli / financial district- Kothaguda - Hitex- jntu / Kukatpalli

Alternative routes :

1. Gachibowli - Kothaguda - Kondapur - Hafeezpet - Alwyn junction - Miyapur junction - Kukatpalli/jntu

2. Gachibowli/financial district - Gachibowli stadium - HCU- Nallagandla - BHEL - Alwyn- Miyapur - Kukatpalli /jntu

D. Hitech city- cyber towers- Malaysian township - jntu

Alternative routes:

Hitech city - Kothaguda - Kondapur - Hafeezpet - Alwyn - Miyapur - Kukatpalli/jntu

General issues:

1. Public need to obey the directions of the traffic police on roads

2. Not to go in opposite/wrong directions as that would create chaos which will further complicate the situation.
