TRS dissident corporators planning no-trust motion against Mayor G Papalal

Khammam: Some of TRS corporators have allegedly been plotting to move a no-trust motion against their own party Mayor G Papalal. Grapevine is abuzz that some TRS corporators had held a secret meeting recently to chalk out plans to unseat the Mayor.
The dissident corporators have reportedly complained that development of Khammam city was hampered by the indifferent attitude of the Mayor. The corporators were even reportedly trying to garner the support of other parties to move a non-confidence against the Mayor.
The dissidents are understood to have secured the support of 35 out of 40 TRS corporators. There are total 50 corporators. According to sources, four senior corporators have been leading the revolt against the Mayor.
Papalal, however, expressed confidence that it was not possible for dissident corporators to move a no-confidence against him now. Meanwhile, the Mayor's supporters accused the dissident corporators of being notoriously corrupt.
