Hyderabad: State BJP chief spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao said that the TRS government seems to have officially triggered community transmission by its own acts of omission and deviation from Covic-19 pandemic management protocols set by Centre and ICMR. In a statement on Thursday, he said that the junior doctors of Gandhi Hospital have openly come out claiming that over 500 'Covid-19 positive' patients have been discharged prematurely without conducting Covid-19 tests two days ago. Rao said that the changed ICMR guidelines have nothing do with such brazen and dangerous act by the State Health administration. Because, it can trigger a massive community transmission in GHMC area and the entire State. He said that his party had serious concerns about complete mismanagement and manipulation of Covid-19 pandemic by the TRS government from the beginning.

He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's inexplicable urge and pointless desire to paint a rosy picture in Telangana State, is doing the unthinkable.

His administration is totally mismanaging Covid-19 situation in the State, which can lead to dangerous outcomes to public health in the State and risk millions of lives.

He demanded immediate response from Chief Minister and Health Minister Etela Rajender posing five questions- why restrictions on Covid tests and case management only to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad.

Also, how will those infected in districts and villages manage Covid-19 infection and when there 100 hospitals in the Stae why all cases are sent to Gandhi Hospital?

That apart, he asked who was responsible for the death of journalist Manoj, who has not received proper treatment in time at Gandhi Hospital?

Besides, should CM KCR not take responsibility for all Covid-19 deaths in the State, for denying public health infrastructure access to common people and also those who can afford to pay, he questioned? He further found fault with the government for remaining unmoved despite the State High Court ordered to increase tests, testing centres and treatment facilities.
