Hanamkonda: The TRS government is mired in corruption, former MLA and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chintala Ramachandra Reddy said. Speaking as the chief guest at the party membership drive, christened as Samsthagata Patham, here on Monday, he said that BJP has the firepower to end the autocratic rule of TRS.

"The Narendra Modi-led BJP Central government has proved that it alone can uphold the dignity of the country. People, who noticed it, are joining BJP voluntarily," Reddy said. He came down heavily on the TRS government for refusing to implement the Centre's initiative - Ayushman Bharat.

Due to TRS' selfish motive, the people are not able to receive the benefits of Ayushman Bharat and other welfare schemes, he alleged, stating that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao does not want to give credit to Centre.

The State government, which trumpets its achievements, needs to answer the delay in carrying the work on Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma Reddy criticised KCR for not addressing the problems faced by the people. "KCR needs to learn a lot from Modi, who is working 18 hours a day," she said.

"Even though the Centre had included Warangal under Smart Cities Mission, AMRUT and HRIDAY, the city is yet to witness development," Padma said, accusing the TRS people's representatives for not speeding up the projects. The leaders on the occasion expressed confidence that they would reach the target of 18 lakh memberships set by party national president Amit Shah.

Senior leaders Chada Srinivas Reddy, ravula Kishan, G Yadagiri Rao, Rao Amarender Reddy, G Shiva Kumar, Kolanu Santhosh Reddy, P Rajendraprasad and Sangani Jagadeeshwar were among others present.
