Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Tarun Chugh has lashed out at the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for grabbing power, looting people and running the family rule in Telangana.

Without taking names while addressing the media here on Friday, the BJP leader called Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister KT Rama Rao, as "Raja" and "Raja Babu". He said people wanted only those "who hear and respond to their owes instead of running the government from a seven-star bungalow."

The BJP leader said Telangana is being run by the entire family- in which, father, son, daughter, son-in-law are amassing wealth and grabbing power. It is unlike in any other parts of the country.

"The Central government-led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership is in quite a contrast and is committed towards making country free from poverty unlike Nizam and Rajwadi rule in Telangana," he added. Taking a dig at the TRS chief, he said that the government had gone in haste and conducted GHMC elections two months ahead of its tenure to end. However, it is hesitating to conduct the election to the GHMC mayor position. Whether the delay is because the TRS fears that the secret understanding between the pink party and AIMIM would be exposed?, he asked.

He said that people who wanted a change showed their support to the saffron party. Despite the ruling party deploying its MLAs, Ministers and use of police machinery to stop BJP, the saffron party fought spectacularly and won 48 seats.

He said that every member of the BJP cadre and leader would fight and the party would not rest until it free the State from the "new Nizam rule and Rajas of seven-star culture". He said that the ruling dispensation in Telangana was not able to see beyond its family and BJP was all set to defeat it and come to power in the State in 2023.
